Kelli in Winters
I am a proud Yolo County native who has long been drawn to the unique spirit of Winters. When it came time to put down roots, choosing Winters was an easy decision for me and my daughter.
I understand the value of hard work and serving others. After spending a decade as a private caregiver, I co-founded a home care agency in 2018 and launched a supported living services company in 2019, helping adults with disabilities live more independent and fulfilling lives.
I believe that being part of a community means giving back. Soon after moving to Winters I joined the Rotary Club. I just finished a term as Rotary President. I spearheaded the renovation of the gazebo at Rotary Park and helped organize the annual Youth Day Pancake Breakfast. I serve on the board of directors for the Winters Chamber of Commerce, participate in Spirit of Winters every year, and if you are there on the right night, you’ll find me at open mic night - sometimes on stage.
I am running for City Council because I believe Winters needs fresh ideas that protect our small-town values. I am committed to listening to residents and ensuring the city remains a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family for generations to come.
Why I'm running
Through my volunteer work in Winters, I've seen firsthand the importance of local government. I am running to build on everything that makes Winters special while bringing fresh ideas for our future. My experience leading community projects has shown me that listening, bringing people together, and turning ideas into action are the keys to creating meaningful change.
As a small business owner, I understand the value of supporting the businesses that already call Winters home while creating opportunities for new ones to succeed.
As a resident, I know the Community Center needs to be renovated while adding a senior center and visitor center, and improving accessibility of the whole facility.
As a Councilmember, I want to preserve the history and character that make Winters unique while bringing a fresh perspective to the future of our community.
